      Also zur Frage: Ich würde mich nicht als "Experten" nennen, habe aber soweit alle Teile gespielt ausser die Handy-Version.

      Es kommt sehr stark drauf an, was man bevorzugt: Exploring, also wie die Ursprungs-Serie oder mehr lineares Run and Gun wie die Konsolen-Turricans.

      Exploring:
      Sicherlich die Amiga Version von Turrican II, auch wenn ich natürlich nur die Atari ST Version spiele ^^

      Run an Gun
      Hier finde ich insgesamt Mega Turrican am MD am Besten. Die Amiga Version (Turrcian III) ist inhaltlich identisch, nur grafisch etwas schwächer

      Die SNES Teile halte ich bis heute für etwas unausgeglichen. Teil 1 ist son komisches Mixup aus Explore und linear, mit einigen nicht gut ausgearbeiteten Stellen im Leveldesign. Teil 2 wirkt mir zu sehr als Contra-Rippoff. Und der Grappling Hook ist in der Usability imo eine Zumutung.

      Was man sich auch gerne mal ansehen kann: Die NES Version :)

    • Turrican 1+2 auf dem Amiga. Die C64 versionen sind ebenfalls top, aber etwas schlechter. Teil 3 sowie die Super Turricans entfernen sich spielerisch ein großes Stück von den ersten beiden.
      Die NES Version halte ich für misslungen. Die MD und PC Engine Versionen des Erstlings sind ebenfalls nicht sonderlich gut aber Spielbar.
      Die Universal Soldier Games sind sehr durchwachsene Rip Offs von Turrican 2. grafisch teilweise unpassend verändert, die Shoot ein Up Levels wurden durch chaotische normale Levels ersetzt.
      Das Handy Game für das alte Siemens Handy war ebenfalls eher durchwachsen, hatte ne hakelige Steuerung.
      Die ST Versionen der Turrican Games sind top, werden aber eben auch von den Amiga Fassung leicht überboten.

    • Mein Tipp wäre der Super-Turrican eben wegen der guten Mischung beider Konzepte. Den Superturrican 2 halte ich btw nicht nur fürnen (sozialeren) Contra-Ripp-Off, sondern für dessen amtlichen Mörder auf allen Ebenen :love:


      Kam mit dem Hook in ST2 viel besser u intuitiver zurecht, als beim Mega, kA :/

      Leider ausgebucht/klamm diesen u nächsten Monat (u auch darüber hinaus); aber i-wann läuft mir diese Collection hier auch noch über den Weg; jede Wette ^^ :love2:


      Edit ST1 auf SNES ist alles in allem nit so kohärent-düster wie Teil3/MegaTurrican, es ist einfach n Tacken abwechselungsreicher (klar, es gibt auf MD/Amiga den Unterwasserlevel, aber der ist auch schnell rum u "düster" isser auch i-wie, auf Amiga besonders schmucklos), vom Gameplay bis hin zur Präsentation (der SNES Teil fängt schon fast "emblematisch"/ikonisch an: Lichtdurchflutetes Szenario mit tollem Hülsi-Sound u lots of Exploration right from the get-go), deshalb mein vote dafür :love:

      Aber klaro, Teil 2 für amiga ist immer nen Tipp wert, ebenso Teil 2 für Cevi. Love4evar <3

      Die PC-Version vom T2 hab ich noch nit zum Laufen bekommen, sieht vom artstyle her ziemlich "eigen" aus; bin gespannt ^^

    • Ich kenne Turrican noch aus alten Amiga Zeiten.
      War ein gutes Spiel, gehörte aber nicht zu meinen Favoriten.
      Da war bei mir Giana Sisters, Rick Dangerous, Flood, Lotus 1-3, Pinball Dreams u. a. angesagt

      Daraus 2 Collections zu machen und dann noch je 35€ ist mehr als dreist.

      Selbst wenn es eine Collection für 35€ geworden wäre, würde ich auf ein Sale warten.

    • Für 35 Euro hätten sie wenigstens die Komplette Rainbow Arts/Softgold Collection veröffentlichen können. Dann gern auch auf 2 Modulen. Die Resonanz im Netz ist schlechter als ich gesten noch im Überblick hatte. Im Grunde ein klassischer Fehler. Hätte man vorher schon so kommunzieren sollen, das es nur ein Emu Collection wird. Anstatt eine Ankündigung von "etwas neues rund um die IP" auf der virtuellen Games Com mehrfach zu teasen.

      Bin kein Experte, aber Turrican II auf dem Amiga habe ich sehr viel gespielt und hab da auch viel Spaß mit gehabt. Da ich es aber eher linear mag finde ich Mega Turrican am allerbesten. ^^

      Turrican II macht jedenfalls alles besser als der erste Teil.

    • Weiß nit, ob's hier nicht schon ein ganz alter Hut ist, aber der olle Turrican kann auf beiden Plattformen nun auch via amazon.de gekauft, bzw vorbestellt werden. Werds mir im Dezember zum release sicher dort gönnen :)

      Will mich nit selbst massieren, aber hatte ich's nit gesagt, dass diese Ikone der Gaminggeschichte NICHT beiner popligen limited-Bude "only" released werden wird, dass das ne elende Verschwendung der guten Games wäre. Und so ist es nun auch gekommen: gottlob! :)
