      Über mehrere Jahre auf Eis gelegt, geht XSEED endlich den Schritt und veröffentlicht die Fortsetzung vom für viele besten PlayStation Portable Rollenspiel The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. Der erste Teil war 2011 als ein Retail-Version und Special Edition in Europa und den USA erschienen, verkaufte sich aber aufgrund der schwindenen Popularität der PSP im Westen schlecht. Die Fortsetzung war zwar bereits lizensiert worden, aber die Wirtschaftlichkeit stellte eine Veröffentlichung des Spiels nach dem vorrangegangenen Flop lange in Frage. 2013 bestätigte XSEED, dass das Thema noch nicht abgeschlossen sei. Angespornt durch die erfolgreiche Geschäftsvariante der kombinierten Veröffentlichung japanischer Spiele auf der PSP und Steam konnte daraufhin die Lokalisierung von The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky Second Chapter für beide Plattformen doch noch bestätigt werden. Allerdings wird die Fassung für Sonys betagtes Handheld nur noch digital erscheinen. Sollte sich das Spiel zumindest einigermaßengut verkaufen, so will man auch Teil 3 lokalisieren.
      Über eine Veröffentlichung in Europa ist zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch nichts bekannt.

    • Das kommt jetzt plötzlich:
      Heute gibt XSEED den Releasetermin von Trails in the Sky SC für Steam und PSP Digital bekannt. Und er ist schon nächste Woche!

      Ab 29.10.2015 kann man das Spiel für 29,99$ bei GOG, Steam oder im amerikanischen PSN herunterladen.



      XSEED hat sich übrigens inzwischen mehrfach klar geäußert, dass Teil 3, falls er lokalisiert wird, definitiv NICHT mehr für die PSP erscheint, auch nicht digital. Die Vita-Remakes sind auch ausgeschlossen, und die PS3 Fassungen hätte man gerne gebracht, aber es gibt merkwürdige Lizenzprobleme, durch die Sony einen West Release unmöglich macht.

      Das heißt, Trails in the Sky TC wird PC-exklusiv sein.

    • Uninteressant für mich, weil nur auf dem PC ...
      Aber der PSN Discount für Trails in the Sky SC interessiert mich, hoffentlich auch in Europa!

      Trails in the Sky SC kostet nur 17,99 anstatt von 26,99.

    • Bei Teil 1 stimme ich zu, wobei Teil 2 ja nur in Japan uralt ist; Im Westen ist er erst Ende 2015 erschienen.

      Auf alle Fälle sind die Spiele es imo vom Umfang her wert. Groß, mit viel zu erforschen, guten Kämpfen und generell erinnern sie halt an die 32-Bit-Ära. Sehen ja auch aus wie Grandia 1. ^^

      Trails in the Sky SC hat übrigens mehr als die doppelte Größe von Teil 1. Wird in Form von 2 UMD Images runtergeladen. :D Zusammen mit FF Type-0 das größte PSP Game.
