Ankündigung des Atari Jaguar Europe Festival 2011

Das Atari Jaguar Europe Festival kurz "ejagfest" findet in diesem Jahr am 19. November in Kaarst statt.

Das Atari Jaguar Europe Festival ist ein jährlich stattfindendes Festival für alle Atari Jaguar und Lynx Fans, Entwickler und Händler. Aufgeschlossene Fans anderer Videospielsysteme sind natürlich auch herzlich willkommen.

Im Mittelpunkt stehen Atari und alle Konsolen des Kult-Labels. Wer mal wieder in geselliger Runde mit dem Jaguar, Lynx VCS 2600, 5200, 7800 oder einem der guten, alten Homecomputer aus den 80ern spielen will, ist hier genau richtig.

Retrogaming, Homebrew Neuvorstellungen, verschollen geglaubte Prototypen und Demos aller Art sind auf dem ejagfest keine Seltenheit. Entwickler aus ganz Europa nutzen regelmäßig die Gelegenheit, ihre Neuentwicklungen auf dem Fest zu präsentieren und teilweise exklusiv zum Verkauf anzubieten.
So feierte im Jahre 2007 der einzig existierenden, funktionstüchtige Prototyp des „Hi-Res Jaguar Virtual Reality Headsets", auf dem ejagfest seine Europa-Premiere.

Competitions und Cups, z.B. "Club-Drive“ oder „Kasumi Ninja" sorgen für beste Stimmung. Es wird jährlich neben den Fun-Turnieren die offizielle Europameisterschaft in „Checkered Flag“ für den Lynx ausgefochten. Um die Sache abzurunden war in den letzten Jahren regelmäßig mindestens ein Retro-Händler anwesend, um neue und gebrauchte Jaguar Spiele sowie Retro-Games im Allgemeinen zum Verkauf anzubieten.

Die Liste der Programmpunkte erhebt keinen Anspruch auf Vollständigkeit, jeder der etwas zu zeigen hat, kann dies nach kurzer Absprache gerne tun.

Langeweile wird sicherlich auch diesmal keine aufkommen! Alle, die Lust haben sich in ungezwungener Runde mit netten Leuten auszutauschen oder einfach nur zu zocken sind systemübergreifend herzlich willkommen.

Das Treffen jährt sich damit zum insgesamt elften Mal und findet zum achten Mal in Folge in Kaarst im altbekannten Bischofshof statt.

Einlass am 19. November ist ab 11:00 Uhr. Der Eintritt beträgt 5,00 Euro (Preisstabil seit 2003).

Announcement of the Atari Jaguar Europe Festival 2011

The Atari Jaguar Europe Festival, "ejagfest" in short, takes place on November 19th of this year in Kaarst, Germany.

The Atari Jaguar Europe Festival is an annual festival for all Atari Jaguar and Lynx fans, developers and retailers. Open-minded fans of other video game systems are welcome, of course.

The „Atari Jaguar Europe Festival is a meeting of retro gaming fans from all over Europe. The focus of attention is Atari and all consoles of the cult lable. All of you who would like to play systems like the Jaguar, Lynx, VCS 2600, 5200, 7800 or on a trusty homecomputer of the 80s, this is the right place.

Retro games, homebrew announcements / presentations, prototypes believed to be lost and demos of all kind can be experienced on the ejagfest. Developers from all over Europe regularly take the opportunity to present their new developments on the festival, and sometimes even have exclusive items for sale. Another highlight was the presentation of the only working “High-res Jaguar Virtual Reality Headset” in existence, which was shown for the first time in Europe on the ejagfest in the year 2007.

Competitions such as “Club Drive” or “Kasumi Ninja” make sure everyone has a fun time. Next to these fun competitions, the official European championship in “Checkered Flag” for the Lynx is taking place each year. To make the event complete there are retro game retailers to offer Jaguar/Lynx titles and a variety of other retro games and systems.
