High resolution has done wonders for the Wipeout franchise. Psygnosis' experience with PS hardware also has paid off. Models are well detailed, environments are rich, and the image is razor sharp.
PLAYSTATION
Mid-Res (512x240):
- Apocalypse
- Armored Core
- Colony Wars
- Glover
- Maniac Game Gal
- Tekken 3 (unbestätigt, noch keine Quelle)
- TOCA 2
- Tomb Raider III (unbestätigt, wahrscheinlich nur 512x240)
- Total 98
- True Pinball (unbestätigt)
High-Res (512x480 oder 640x480):
- Bloody Roar 2 (JAP)

Es wurde auch mit 640x360 rumexperimentiert, siehe Factor 5:
"But one of the cool things about the N64 is that you can mess with the video hardware and do intermediary resolutions. Let's say you've got 320x240 [low-res] and 512x240 [medium res], and you've got 640. But instead of 480 vertical lines, you can also do 360. The hardware automatically displays it correctly on your monitor without performance loss. We experimented with that a lot."
Geil: Diddy Kong Racing hatte dynamisches AA:
"It's a little sharper. Here you've got of course all those other factors again that are different from game to game. Should I switch on anti-aliasing for this game, does it make sense? Don't just switch it on! It's muddy looking, "but it's a feature so it has to be good..." That's not necessarily so. Diddy Kong Racing, for example, does this neat trick where they switch off anti-aliasing when you drive at fast speeds. That's one of reasons why it manages to look so sharp."
Secret of Mana 2).
