      My translation group and I have teamed up with a really good guy who goes by SixFortyFive on the InsertCredit.com boards, and we're working on an English patch for the Japanese game.

      The idea is that you'd make a backup copy of your Japanese copy of Segagaga, add our patch to the backup, burn the patched backup on a CD-ROM disc, and play the English language version on your Dreamcast.

      I naturally looked for any language documents on the game when I got my copy off eBay. I think that a full translation already exists on GameFAQs, but I haven't looked at it. We aren't using it as our foundation.

      For English comprehension, we've translated the lyrics.

      Ich hoffe ihr habt alle den Broadbandadapter (gibts bei Ebay günstig zu ersteigern, von 80-120 Euro, wenns mal überhaupt versteigert wird) ist da alles dabei zum Rippen der GD-R für eure Sicherheitskopie? :D

    • Gibt es eigentlich noch mehr Patches für japanische Dreamcast Spiele, die die Spiele ins englische übersetzen? Mir fallen da nämlich noch ein paar andere Spiele ein, von denen ich gerne mal eine übersetzte Version hätte.:D

      Es gibt keine Peinlichkeiten, sondern nur die Intoleranz anderer Menschen!

    • Selbst wenn du es dir kaufen würdest bräuchtest du noch einen Broadbandadapter, damit du es auf den PC rippen kannst, um am PC dann alle gerippten Files in ein ISO-File zu packen und das ISO dann zu patchen mit dem Übersetzungspatch. Und einen CD-Rohling brauchst du natürlich acuh noch aber ich denke mal das ist das kleinste Problem. :fu:

      Außer ihr seid illegal unterwegs und erledigt das ganze auf andere Weisen.. Dazu möchte ich dann aber hier nichts hören :angry: :anger: ;)

      Mir gehts ja auch nicht um die Übersetzung. Ich will einfach nur wissen, wo ich das kaufen kann. Dieser Thread hat sich momentan halt dafür angeboten! :P

      Das Spiel taugt schon, war in Japan relativ erfolgreich (erst nur DDirect, dann wegen Verkaufszahlen noch eine Laden-Version in CD-case) und ist sehr liebevoll gestaltet. Verstehen tut man wegen dem RPG-Charakter aber wohl nichts wenn man kein (ordentliches) Japanisch kann.

    • Ja, soweit war ich auch schon, aber wirklich weiter geht da wirklich nichts. Die Übersetzung soll ja schon weit fortgeschritten sein, daher glaube ich auch, dass sie irgedwann kommt.
      Weil ich denke dass es bestimmt eine Menge Leute auf der Welt gibt, die es zu ende bringen würden wenn der Herr Howell aufgibt.
