Wie Denby Grace, Senior Producer des heiß erwarteten Gangster-Epos Mafia II, bestätigte wird das Spiel definitiv nur über ein Ende verfügen. Ursprünglich waren vier unterschiedliche Enden geplant, mit denen die Story abgeschlossen werden konnte. Laut Denby konnte aber nur ein Ende sowohl die Tester, als auch die Entwickler selbst überzeugen – weshalb es auch nur Selbiges ins Spiel geschafft hat.

We worked on these things and we have our players that focus test [the game] and we found that people were just replaying and ultimately only felt satisfied when they got to the one GREAT ending."
